Even before it is released in the market, the much talked about film
October 1, produced and directed by celebrated film maker and actor, Kunle
Afolayan has won the Fiction Film Trailer Award category of the International
Movie Trailers Festival Awards 2013
The movie
sees veteran actor and broadcaster Sadiq Daba play lead character Inspector Dan
Waziri. Deola Sagoe of Haute couture plays the legendary Funmilayo Ransom Kuti.
Others are Ibrahim Chatta, David Bailey, Kehinde Bankole and more.

Held
at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday,
September 28 was the premiere of October 1, another classic blockbuster film by
award-winning film maker, Kunle Afolayan.
Despite the rain, celebrities such as
Genevieve Nnaji, Sasha, Tunde Kelani, Gabriel Afolayan, and several others were
at the venue to support the respected actor and producer who has risen steadily
in the industry after being brought into the limelight by Tunde Kelani several
